We are a nonprofit organization in San Antonio, TX dedicated to providing scholarship opportunities to young dancers in our community. HAD strives to encourage the Human, express the Artist, and educate the Dancer by providing unrestricted funding to offset expenses related to dance education or professional dance opportunities. Through our Elevation Scholarship program, finalists participate in learning new choreography, performing new dances at our Gala, interviews, and a professional development series.
Join us in June 2025 for the Fourth Annual HAD Gala at the Josephine Theater. To participate in the 2024 scholarship program, applications were submitted by January 31, 2024 and live preliminary auditions were held February 4, 2024. To learn more, visit our Application page.

"In college I want to learn more about all styles of dance and after college I hope to audition to dance on cruise ships. My family and studio have supported my dance because they recognize how much of an impact it has made on me."
"My goals include dancing on a collegiate dance team while continuing to teach dance and provide choreography to individuals and teams. I would love to travel with a convention team and spread the joy of dance."
"I want to represent my South Side community and other areas where art programs are extremely limited and inspire other dancers to continue to follow their passion."
"My future goals include getting a Bachelor's degree in fine arts at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) and continuing to become the best, well-rounded dancer I can be."
